Which edition is my textbook?

If you are selling a textbook, it is worth knowing its edition because the edition of a book determines its value. It can sometimes be overwhelming when trying to determine the edition of a book since publishers use different processes. And there are thousands of publishers out there.

At times, the publisher will distinctly disclose what a book’s release is by writing “First edition” on the page with the original publication date. On other occasions, you may not be so fortunate!

Nevertheless, there exist approaches to inquire into the edition of a textbook:

  • Check when the book was patented and when it was issued. This is generally found at the back of the title page. If there are more than one copywriting date as it is occasionally the case. it is advised to use the most recent date.
  • At times, there is a line of numbers on the printing page. every time, pick the lowest number to determine how many times the textbook has been printed. You may also find the printing date in this list of numbers.
  • And finally, search for information that tells you segments have Been added. Textbooks edition often change if material in the book has been modified or if more facts have been added to the text.
What do you do with my textbooks after I have sold them to you?

We buy your textbooks and sell them on. Thus enabling someone else to benefit from the books you don’t need. You get paid and we keep books in circulation so they don’t end up in a junkyard.
